The Name

String of Pearls is a movement of women (and some men as well) that believe we don't have to settle for a mediocre, hectic, demanding, stressful life that leaves us exhausted, depressed, and frustrated day in and day out.

String of Pearls was founded by three women who are deeply committed to God.  We've joined forces to share with you how we have found friendship, freedom, flexibility, and focus from a business model.  Our primary goal is to mentor women to be entrepreneurs.  To find their passion and go after it.  We believe that when women do this, seeking first the Spiritual in their lives and not letting go of their dreams, they are able to have the desires of their heart physically, spiritually, emotionally, and financially. We believe that God's plan for our lives is abundance and wholeness.  Passion and joy.  And we want to mentor women to believe and find the same things to be true in their lives.

The name itself evolved over the course of several months.  Last year, Gale, Kathy, and Noelle attended a conference for the company they are involved in and during that conference pearls came up in various ways.  They noted it but didn't know exactly what it meant.  Later, when working on the marketing focus for an internet launch, God made it clear that the focus needed to be on women and again, pearls came up during the brainstorm.

After looking up the definition of "pearl" we realized the significance.  Here are some of the excerpts...

"minerals deposited in concentric layers as a protective coating, something precious or choice, the finest example of anything, valued as a gem."  

We were so excited about this!  How many of us have added protective coatings over an irritation in our lives?  With this definition, rather than this being something that keeps us from our dreams, it becomes part of our value.  We become the finest example of anything, valued as a gem.

We have seen how God has done this in our lives and realized that God had called us to walk this path with others.  To be with women as they learn their value and make money on top of it.  What could be better?!

So rather than being 3 pearls, we are calling all women who have a longing for something better. Who have caught a glimpse that life can be different.  That the bondage they may feel does not have to be a reality. Come join our string of pearls.
